About CMA (INDIA)
At present ICWA course has been renamed to CMA which stands for Cost Management Accounting. This course provides you an in-depth knowledge to manage business within the available resources. As a cost accountant, you have to collect and analyze the financial information from all the areas of a company.
This course comprises of three stages, i.e. CMA Foundation, CMA Intermediate and CMA Final.

ICWA Foundation

  1. The candidate has to pass 10th class or equivalent from a recognized board.
  2. 10+2 from a recognized board or an examination equivalent to 10+2 which is recognised by the central government. Or diploma in commerce examination held by all India council of technical education.or any State Board of Technical Education under the authority of the said All India Council, or the Diploma in Rural Service Examination conducted by the National Council of Higher Education.
  3. The minimum age required for registering for the CWA/ICWA Foundation is 17 years on the date of registration.
Examination:
Examination held twice in year  June and December.
Subjects:
  • PAPER – 1: FUNDAMENTALS OF ECONOMICSAND MANAGEMENT.
  • PAPER – 2: FUNDAMENTALS OF ACCOUNTING.
  • PAPER – 3: FUNDAMENTALS OF LAWS AND ETHICS.
  • PAPER – 4: FUNDAMENTALS OF BUSINESS MATHEMATICS AND STATISTICS.

ICWA INTERMEDIATE

  1. Passed Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2)and Foundation Course of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India/
  2. Graduation in any discipline other than Fine Arts/
  3. Foundation (Entry Level) Part I Examination of CAT of the Institute
  4. Foundation (Entry Level) Part I Examination and Competency Level Part II Examination of CAT of the Institute
  5. Passed Foundation of ICSI/along with 10+2.
  6. Intermediate of ICAI by what ever name called along with 10+2.
Examination:
Examination held twice in year  June and December.
Intermediate Course: Group – 1
  • Paper – 5 Financial Accounting
  • Paper – 6 Laws & Ethics
  • Paper – 7 Direct Taxation
  • Paper – 8 Cost Accounting
Intermediate Course: Group – 2
  • Paper – 9 Operations Management & Strategic Management
  • Paper – 10 Cost & Management Accounting and Financial Management
  • Paper – 11 Indirect Taxation
  • Paper – 12 Company Accounts & Audit

ICWA FINAL

  • A candidate should have passed Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2)and Foundation Course of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
