CS Foundation :

  • Three stages to pursue the Company Secretaries Course :
    Foundation Programme
    Executive Programme
    Professional Programme

Cs Foundation :

Foundation Programme can be pursued by 10+2 pass or equivalent students of Arts, Science or Commerce stream (Excluding Fine Arts)

Eligibility:

  • Candidates who have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) examination of a Board/University constituted by law in India or any examination recognised by the Central Government as equivalent thereto are eligible.

  • Provisional admission is allowed to a candidate who has appeared or enrolled for appearing in Senior Secondary (10+2 or equivalent)examination ,provided proof of passing the examination is produced within 6 months of making the application.

Examination:

Examination held twice in year June and December.

Deadlines for admission to cs course :

  1. 31st March for appearing in December Examination  in the same year
  2. 30th September for June Examination next year.

Subjects (4 papers )

Paper1: BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT AND LAW

Paper2: BUSINESS MANAGEMENT, ETHICS & ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Paper3: BUSINESS ECONOMICS

Paper4: FUNDAMENTALS OF ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING

Qualifying Marks

A candidate is declared to have passed the Foundation examination, if he/she secures at one sitting a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in the aggregate of all subjects.

2) CS Executive:

Eligibility:

  • Candidates who have passed the Foundation examination or are eligible for exemption there from and are not less than 17 years of age may seek registration as a student for the Executive Programme.

 

  • Candidates must be graduate from a recognized University from any stream except Fine Arts .

 

  • If you have passed the entrance exam of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or the Institute of Cost Accountants of India [ICMAI] then you are eligible to take direct entry in Executive Programme of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).

 

 

Examination:

Examination held twice in year June and December.

 

The deadlines for Registrations on any level of Company Secretary exams are

  • 28th February for appearing in both modules in December Exams in the same year year

  • 31st May for appearing in single module in December Examination in the same year

  • 31st August for appearing in both modules in June Exam in the next year

  • 30th November for appearing in single module in June Examination in the next year.

Paper 1: JURISPRUDENCE, INTERPRETATION & GENERAL LAWS

Paper 2: COMPANY LAW

Paper 3: SETTING UP OF BUSINESS ENTITIES AND CLOSURE

Paper 4: TAX LAWS

Module 2:

Paper 5: CORPORATE & MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING

Paper 6: SECURITIES LAWS & CAPITAL MARKETS

Paper 7: ECONOMIC, BUSINESS AND COMMERCIAL LAWS

Paper 8: FINANCIAL AND STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT
